Welcome
Where Chad Hays stands on the issues: |
| Serious About Balancing the Budget – As a fiscal conservative, Chad favors zero-based budgeting that demands budgetary integrity, accountability and measurable results. The era of governmental spending without the scrutiny that every Illinois family and business requires of themselves is over.Making Illinois Work – Supports long overdue tax incentives and reforms that will finally allow our State to be competitive with Indiana. Far too many of our workers have left the area and their loved ones behind as Illinois continues to export good jobs while struggling to attract new investment.Education is Our Future – Passionate about an educated citizenry that is ready for the jobs of the future. Defends local control, and will be an articulate, enthusiastic supporter of our schools, DACC and Lincoln’s Challenge.
Strong Advocate for Agriculture – Open and fair markets will define our economic recovery. Investment in research insures that world class east central Illinois producers will continue to prosper. Strongly supports the 2nd Amendment and favors conceal and carry legislation. Chad is Pro-Life as well as a strong supporter of family values. |
“It is with sincere confidence and enthusiasm that I support and endorse Chad Hays as our next State Representative.”
- Bill Black, Representative-104th District
It is with enthusiasm and earnest confidence in the future of this community, and of this State, that I announce my candidacy for Representative of the 104th District in the Illinois General Assembly.
I am humbled and honored to be endorsed and supported by Representative Bill Black, who is nothing short of our own living legend as a public servant. Thank you for your quarter of a century of service to our citizenry.
I pledge to all here today that I will be a visible, accessible, hard-working representative for the citizens of every corner of our District – from Catlin to Rantoul; from Danville to St. Joseph; from Sidney to Potomac; from Bismarck to Philo; from Georgetown to Thomasboro; and for every community in between. Will we always agree in principle? I suspect not. But I pledge to listen to your voices.
I have been a coalition-builder all of my professional life. We are a diverse community. We are a diverse State. But our needs, hopes and dreams are interrelated and each requires and deserves representation — from seeing that our substantial agricultural interests have a voice, to working tirelessly to improve our suffering job market and local economy, to partnering with education leaders to insure that the youth represented here today are competitive in the global economy of tomorrow.
I bring to the electorate a unique blend of public sector experience, as a small town Mayor, and private sector experience, as a senior executive for one of our region’s largest employers.
Combining the understanding of how our government works and affects the lives of those whom we serve with the pragmatic, real world dynamics of managing the personnel and financial resources necessary in the business world, gives me a unique outlook on and approach to public service.
The problems facing this State are serious – they require serious debate, consideration and resolution. Because in the end, we are in this together, and the problems you face each day, that we face together each day, demand solutions, not credit or blame.
I firmly believe that the greatest days for this District lie ahead. But we must have the courage to reinvent Illinois as a State that is open and ready for business. We must invite and encourage a new generation of leadership. We must embrace change and articulate a vision for the future that insures all parts of this State get a fair shake and equal opportunities.
